Have A Look At Peter Dovak’s “Mini Metros” Transit Maps

Art is around us all the time; it’s all in how you see the world you live in. Peter Dovak is a graphic designer and self-described “lifelong transit nerd” who today brings them both together. His collection of minimal artistic designs known as ‘Mini Metros’ are multicolored creations that  showcase the unique routes, lines, and paths of public transportation. Each map features a technicolor approach with a minimal graphic approach and a straightforward look.

We see some of the most intricate systems in the world, including Barcelona, Paris, Seoul, and Tokyo, while others include Copenhagen, Glasgow, and Ottawa. Dovak was inspired to create his Mini Metros series years ago and released his first batch last year. He has a self-created set of clear-cut and complicated graphic design guidelines that includes lines must measure 3px, parallel lines must have at least 3px between them, diagonals should measure 45-degrees, and each redesigned map must fit into a 120px circle. Have a look at the intricate and colorful works of art below and check out more of his work on his website right now!
