Happy 15th Birthday to Outkast’s “Stankonia” and Hov’s “Dynasty”!

It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since 2 of HipHop’s greatest albums hit the streets and paved the way for many artists today.

The year 2000 happened to be a great year in HipHop for both Outkast and Jigga. Stankonia, on one hand, brought us hits such as “So Fresh and So Clean” and “Sorry, Ms. Jackson” while on the other hand, The Dynasty: Roc La Familia, gave us a glimpse of the then A Team of Roc-A-Fella artists like Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, and Amil.

Stankonia had earned a Grammy nomination for “Album of the Year”.

Also, case you guys weren’t aware, most of the Dynasty LP was produced by Just Blaze and this very LP is where Jay had allowed Kanye his very first feature as a part of Roc-A-Fella Records.

There’s a little nostalgic lesson for all you HipHop heads out there. Although these albums have just turned 15, we still bump them like they came out yesterday. Classics like this should never get shelved, EVER. Go stream them for old times sake…
