CYPHERS

Friday Fire Cypher: PT. 1 of Our Detroit Freestyles

How often do you get to freestyle in front of not only Sway, but Royce Da 5’9 and D12?  Well, a handful of Hyeenas came out to Bob’s Classic Kicks in Detroit for a special Friday Cypher.

Sway made sure to let these MCs know, that if they’re wack, they will get booed because when you have greatness like Eminem and Motown representing Detroit, you have to come correct.  With Mr. Porter (@mRpOrTeR7)  providing the beats, his very own daughter Tiara was up first and did not disappoint.  Nolan the Ninja came ready and Adam Reverie brought the energy.

We had two people from Ohio, one being Issa Ali, who Royce really seemed to like and said “it sound like he wrote it to that beat” and V-3, who came up a tad short, but insists this will not be the last we see of him.  Check out part one of our cypher above and make sure you hit up all the MCs on Twitter and let them know what you think:

Icon of hip-hop culture and a pivotal part of the MTV News team, Sway has been a staple of the music-news arena for more than a decade. From giving Eminem, Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac their very first radio airplay on his local show in the mid-’90s to providing television viewers with their first good look at some of today’s hottest celebrities in music, film, fashion and sports. Sway has been there for some of music and the world’s biggest moments.
