Frank Ocean Lets Fans Know #BoysDontCry

Fans have practically been climbing up the wall, anxiously waiting for Frank Ocean to give word on when they can expect the follow up to his sophomore album, Channel Orange.  His unofficial hiatus from the music scene hasn’t made the wait any easier.

However, Ocean relieved fans with news that the wait wouldn’t be much longer.  He announced a July release for his upcoming album using the hashtag #BoysDontCry.  Ocean also teased about a magazine publication that will accompany the album.

He dropped clues on his tumblr page, where he posted an image with the caption “I got two versions. I got twooo versions…” and the hashtags #ISSUE1, #ALBUM3, #JULY2015, and #BOYSDONTCRY.

In the period since Channel Orange’s release, Ocean has made modest appearances on Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, John Mayer’s Paradise Valley, Beyonce’s self entitled album, and even performed a song called “Hero” with Diplo and The Clash’s Mick Jones and Paul Simonon.

Frank Ocean has teased fans about an album release before. However it’s confirmed that Ocean has been working with Hit-Boy, Rodney Jerkins, and Kevin Risto on a new album over the past year.

Here’s to hoping that this time is the real deal.
