In 2013 an iconic luxury streetwear brand was born in Los Angeles by Jerry Lorenzo.
His vision was clear and his values stood solid as he named the brand Fear of God. Lorenzo forged his way into fashion by creating custom looks for Justin Beiber and designing for Kanye West. Needless to say, the Fear of God brand took off and you can probably catch your local fashion fanatic trying to save up for a piece of the 2020 Fall/Winter collection.
In an effort to pay homage to the Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, the God-fearing designer created a nostalgic collection of apparel bearing old portraits of Mrs. Harris. Lorenzo explains on an Instagram post that All proceeds of the KH2020 collection will benefit the non-profit Black Futures Lab and states that:
“When @kamalaharris takes the stage in tonight’s vice presidential debate I cannot help but to think about my wife, mother, sisters, grandmother, twin daughters, the millions of women of color and specifically black women who have been overlooked and marginalized in this country, We have the responsibility to vote. the luxury to vote. let’s answer the call for so many that never had this right before. let your voice be heard.”
Jerry also used his time on IG to thank Meena Harris and Angela Rye for partnering with him and helping him to use this monumental occasion as an opportunity to inspire his two daughters.
Chances are that the KH2020 collection will be sold on a limited basis on the Fear of God website.
