B.O.B talks the difference between an mc and an artist

Bobby Raybans has received lots of attention for his latest Instagram shenanigans and recent relationship with r&b songstress Sevyn Streeter; but before all the fun of “Eggplant Friday”, B.O.B. is both an emcee and an artist first.

B.O.B.’s career went soaring after the debut of his first album “B.O.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray.” The album was a memorable moment in hip hop, pop and indie genres as it included airy tracks like “Nothin’ on You” featuring Bruno Mars, Airplanes featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore and Georgia vibes like “Bet I” featuring T.I. and Playboy Tre.

The emcee, indie songstress and innate musician stayed true to his craft on his 2012 project “Strange Clouds,” and allured listeners with  features from Lil’ Wayne, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz.  BANS sat down with us preceding the release of “Strange Clouds,” during Sway’s SXSW Takeover and deciphered the difference between what it means to be an emcee vs and artist.

B.O.B. is a SXSW regular, so it’ll be interesting to hear his thoughts at the 2016 SXSW music festival!
