Omari Hardwick is immensely talented. He is a writer, producer and of course an actor as we all know him by his alias, Ghost from Power. But he has also shown his musical side from hip-hop to R&B to poetry. Now he is getting into his lyrical exercise as he plans to start pumping out more music in preparation for a forthcoming album.
Today he is exclusively releasing “OV2” which features legendary Jazz trumpeter, Keyon Harrold. The song also features Omari’s daughter Nova Issy, which is significant because the track pays homage to two icons who have passed but left behind beautiful daughters and a legacy of being a girl dad. “OV2” is an extension of sorts to Nipsey Hussle’s “Ocean Views” off Slauson Boy 2.
Was always set to release it as a homage piece and then when Kobe passed too…obviously even more significant in WEIGHT. I equally felt it was beautiful cool healing tool for the culture.
