Charlotte native Reuben Vincent is teaming up with his longtime mentor, Grammy-winning producer 9th Wonder, for a new collaborative album titled Welcome Home, set to arrive in October 2025. The duo has unveiled a maxi single featuring two fresh tracks, “Gotta Get It” and “Queen City,” now streaming across all major platforms.
The project marks a pivotal moment in Vincent’s career. First introduced to the game under 9th Wonder’s Jamla Records back in 2016, the young lyricist has since carved out his own path, signing with Roc Nation in 2021 and delivering standout projects like Love Is War and General Admission. Both releases highlighted his maturity, versatility, and gift for storytelling, cementing him as one of the most promising voices of his generation.
Now, with Welcome Home, Vincent circles back to the foundation of his artistry. Entirely produced by 9th Wonder, the album represents a reunion built on years of growth, mentorship, and shared history. “This album is a full-circle moment,” Vincent reflects. “9th gave me my first chance in this game, so it felt only right we created something together. For me, it’s about going back to where it all began, North Carolina, family, and that classic rap energy. This is a homecoming in every sense.”
For 9th Wonder, who has spent decades shaping the sound of hip-hop while cultivating new talent through Jamla, the album underscores his ongoing commitment to elevating the next generation. Together, he and Vincent offer a reminder that even as artists expand their reach, the connection to home and to those who helped pave the way remains unshakable.
Welcome Home arrives this fall via Jamla Records/Roc Nation Distribution. Until then, fans can stream “Gotta Get It” and “Queen City,” HERE two records that showcase both the hunger and pride at the heart of Vincent’s return.
