Donald Glover Shouts Out Migos In His Golden Globe Awards Speech

In case you didn’t know, this past Sunday saw The Golden Globe awards handed out. Among the night’s big winners was Donald Glover who won for his smash show ‘Atlanta.’ Today we get to Watch Donald Glover’s ‘Atlanta’ Golden Globe Awards Speech. The actor, wordsmith and much more thanks, everyone involved with the show such as producer Dianne McGunigle, writer and brother Stephen Glover, and director Hiro Murai.

However, he also thanked a few other folks from Atlanta, stating: “I just really want to thank Atlanta and all the black folks in Atlanta. For real. Just for being alive and doing amazing [things] and being amazing people. I couldn’t be here without Atlanta. And I really want to thank the Migos—not for being in the show—but for making ‘Bad and Boujee.’ Like that’s the best song ever.” He calls them “The Beatles of this generation” and that “they don’t get a lot of respect.” Check out the speech in the video below and speak your thoughts on it after the jump.
