WBC Lightweight Champ Devin Haney checked in on Sway In The Morning in a special edition of Bridge Bizness. The champ talked with Horse and Sway about his upcoming fight with George Kambosos, who holds the WBA, WBO and IBF belts. Devin Haney just landed in Kambosos’ home country of Australia for their June 5th bout with a warning to “Be Ready”! Haney is prepared mentally and physically for this fight despite the fact that his father and trainer Bill, has not been able to make the trip yet because of a visa issue.
“He said I got cold feet but I’m here in Australia,” Haney said. “I said I would be, I stuck to everything I would do, and here we go.”
Haney is looking forward to bringing all of the belts back to the states and is likely even more motivated if his father cannot make the trip. What are your predictions for this fight?
