While the music world congregates in Atlanta for the A3C festival, we had a chance to sit down with one of the clever wordsmiths from the G.O.O.D Music family – Cyhi the Prynce.
Yes, it is still all GOOD even after his creative “Elephant in the Room” drew some criticism and questions regarding the situation over there with the talented Kanye led group. The whole situation goes to show just how important perception is, whether from the writer or from the listener – this is a perfect example and very well explained during the interview.
There has to be a lot of mind blowing moments working and touring alongside Mr. West but Cyhi shocked everyone as he details the incredible night he got to rap for Louis Farrakhan. You think performing in front of thousands is nerve wrecking? Can you imagine not only rapping in front of Farrakhan in an intimate setting next to Kanye but trying to decide exactly WHAT to spit for him. We hold artists to the highest standard during the Friday Fire Cypher (which he also destroyed) but that is an entirely different kind of pressure…
Listen to the incredible story below and if you’re a fan of bars stick around for the Friday Fire following.
