Could All Television be Internet-Based in the Near Future? Netflix CEO Reed Hastings Thinks So!

Over the past few years we have seen physical CD’s become a thing of the past as streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music and TIDAL are offering more and more exclusive content and features.

We have also seen this transition into television where Netflix and Hulu reign supreme.  But could these services stop network television altogether?  Netflix CEO Reed Hastings thinks so, giving credit to his Netflix original series’ “Orange Is The New Black” and “House of Cards,” Hastings forecasts all television to be internet based in the next 10-20 years.

“We are just a learning machine. Every time we put out a new show, we are analyzing it, figuring out what worked and what didn’t so we get better next time.

With Netflix stock remaining very high, Hastings may not be too far off here.  What do you think of this bold assumption by the man at the helm of Netflix?  Hit us on Twitter to let us know!
