Coldplay Named Super Bowl 50 Headlining Act

Near the top of every artist’s list that strives to be an icon are probably two things consistently found: Win a Grammy and/or perform during halftime at the Super Bowl.

Coldplay has achieved both of those feats now (multiple Grammys) after being named the headliner for this year’s Super Bowl in San Francisco. The late Thursday announcement caught us a little off guard after thinking the committee was leaning more towards Bruno Mars. Either way we are in for something special this February as the biggest sports event in the world hits the big 5-0.

Be sure to tune in February 7th for great football, commercials and Coldplay.

It’s official: we’re performing at the @Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show! #PepsiHalftime
