Chris Brown Calls on WizKid, Hoody Baby, & Section Boyz for “Shabba”

Chris Brown adds to the list of artists that have been using African or reggae influence in their music lately (Tory Lanez, Drake, etc.) with his new single “Shabba” featuring WizKid, Hoody Baby, and Section Boyz.

While the beat doesn’t have much slow wine riddim or Nigerian beat (considering WizKid is from Nigeria), there is definitely some use of patois throughout the track.  Chris takes more of a rap approach, but still hits some notes in the hook.

Apparently, it hasn’t really been the best couple of weeks for Brown (being sued by Suge Knight and his publicist drama), but it’s dope he continues to focus on what’s really important like his music.  Check it out below.
