Childish Gambino says he’s so into you with new cover

Rapper, writer, singer and actor Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino is certainly an anomaly. Proven to be capable of nearly anything, Gambino set us adrift on memory bliss this morning with his cover of Tamia’s 90’s hit “I’m so into you.”

While we haven’t heard a radio smash since the success of his last album “Because the Internet,” back in 2013, Gambino hasn’t necessarily been quiet. In 2014 he gifted his fans with his STN MTN/Kauai mixtape, an ode to Atlanta where he revisited southern classics like “Southern Hospitality” by Ludacris, “All Y’all” by Timbaland and even slowed it down for a funked out cover of “U Don’t have to Call” by Usher.

In short, Gambino’s performance on Triple-J radio shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that has been a fan, but a reminder as to why we love him so much. Catch the cover below!

Also, take a short trip down memory lane and watch Gambino spit fire over Drake’s “Pound Cake” right here in our Sway in the Morning studio!
