In our latest interview on Sway in the Morning, Brendan Fraser stops by our studio to tell us about his new role as Robot Man on Doom Patrol.
But first, Fraser tells us about his busy dad-life and his hilarious spur of the moment decision to adopt a horse and fedex it to his home.
You’ve seen him in George of the Jungle, Encino Man, Looney Tunes, The Affair and more, but now he’s Robot Man on Doom Patrol — a role where the character has never actually had an audible voice until now.
Before signing off, Branden bravely opens up about joining the #MeToo movement as he came forward last year about being sexually assaulted by the HFPA ex-president. Watch below for more and catch Doom Patrol, now streaming on DC Universe.

Wow, my brother Brendan sent home a horse. By Fed Ex! I’d never have known were it not for your interview! Thanks. Languages. Oui, nous parlons et ecrivons en francais. (Trans: We speak and write in French)…Next time with Brendan, remind him of his 3rd language, Dutch. We grew up for 2 years in the Netherlands. In fact, together, Brendan and I watched Star Wars in cinematic release for our 5th and 6th time there. Watching Dutch-subtitled movies taught us at least this much Dutch, “Ik begrijp Nederlands beter dan ik kan verspreek” (Trans: I understand Dutch better than I speak it”). I think his Spanish might be limited to scenes in Encino Man or Bedazzled. Oh yeah, there’s one more language we know well. Profanity. But whenever we spoke it, our mum would tell us. “You’re kicked out of the Clean Language Club.” True. Ask him.
