Today on Sway in the Morning we welcome Bloomfield rapper ANoyd back on the show as we officially add him to our list of “snipers.” We talk to him about his come up, his newest album A Time and Place, and his performance at SXSW. “ The emcee says he draws inspiration from rappers at the top of their game, including Kendrick Lamar and J Cole. “I take pride in my pen, you know, I want people to hear every word I’m saying so I look up to these artists.”
The 24-year-old rhyme slayer breaks down his writing process. He explains how he balances trap and boom bap styles of rapping and why it ultimately makes him a hip-hop hybrid. He highlights the importance in having a team that builds you up when you’re having a tough day in the business.
