Amazon’s Physical Bookstore Will Arrive In NYC This Spring

Always looking to change the game, Amazon returns to the news feed today with some big news. First, we go back to 2015 when Amazon opened a brick and mortar bookstore in Seattle. That was just the beginning of what is expected to be 300-400 locations in all. Well, today it looks like one of those places will be located in Manhattan. Amazon recently confirmed in an email to The Wall Street Journal that it does have plans to open an Amazon Books location in New York City.

The location is slated to open this Spring with a location on the edge of Central Park at the Time Warner Center in Midtown. The company says that another location could be coming to Hudson Yards later, though the Central Park store will be New York City’s first. The NYC location will join other Amazon Books locations in Seattle, Portland, and San Diego. Speak your thoughts on the news and stay tuned for more on this coming soon.
