South African rapper Nasty C has landed in the U.S. for this year’s BET Awards, which is set to take place on June 25. Today, the award-winning hitmaker joined us on Sway in the Morning for an unforgettable freestyle. We spoke to the emcee about his album Bad Hair Extensions, racism and past relationships.
After trust issues with members of his crew arose, Nasty C had to minimize his circle. He shared a piece of advice for up-and-coming artists. “Actions mean way more than words and they shouldn’t be easy with trust . . . You build a relationship with people, thinking that they got you just as much as you got them and then it changes all of a sudden because of money or whatever.”
We asked Nasty C about his various collaborations with American artists, including French Montana. The 20-year-old also told us about some of his dreams collabs.
