Adrien Brody Plays his Beats as Souls of Mischief Freestyle on Sway in the Morning

Academy Award winning actor, Adrien Brody, made his way to Sway in the Morning yesterday and proved to us why he cannot be put in a box.

Sway’s Shade 45 morning show is also known to be eclectic, so it was only right that Adrien blew our mind and played his beats while the legendary Souls of Mischief freestyled over them!

Adrien Brody’s new TV Movie “Houdini” premiers September 1 (and September 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT), a two-part miniseries on the History Channel, chronicling the life of the legendary escape artist.

Plus, Souls of Mischief’s new album “There Is Only Now” released earlier this week, produced by Adrian Younge. Their project draws influence from soul artists Stevie Wonder and Curtis Mayfield, but also from genres such as gangsta rap, hip-hop and R&B.

Side note, this is what went down when Adrian Younge swung by Sway in the Morning last year.

Icon of hip-hop culture and a pivotal part of the MTV News team, Sway has been a staple of the music-news arena for more than a decade. From giving Eminem, Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac their very first radio airplay on his local show in the mid-’90s to providing television viewers with their first good look at some of today’s hottest celebrities in music, film, fashion and sports. Sway has been there for some of music and the world’s biggest moments.
