Aaliyah's Controversial Lifetime Biopic Will Air In November

Despite the controversy generated by their unauthorized  Saved By The Bell biopic, television network Lifetime has decided to move forward with its Aaliyah: Princess of R&B” biopic, which they announced will air on Saturday, November 15th.

Based upon Christopher Farley’s biography Aaliyah: More Than A Woman, the late singer’s family has been against the project since it’s inception, and after intense public scrutiny due to the perceived differences in looks,  Disney star Zendaya Mendler dropped out of the project in favor of Nickelodeon actress Alexandra Shipp. TV personality Wendy Williams  has also been announced as one of the producers of the film.
