It’s that time of the year again; it’s time for Art Basel 2016. This year some of the best in the world of art will invade South Beach for a few days of stunning shows, galleries and much more. Art Basel 2016 starts this week and will feature interesting installations such as Design Miami, Untitled, Aqua Art Miami, Fridge Fair, INK, SATELLITE and much more. The event will also feature the signature fair of the week at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Here fans will find the ‘world’s largest contemporary art gallery’ including a who’s who list of art.
In the POSITIONS sector 16 booths give individual artists the opportunity to present a major project or installation. This will feature Dane Mitchell’s ‘Olfactory Camouflage’ and so much more. Public days for the fair is Thursday, December 1 (3 p.m. onwards) – Sunday, December 4 (public days). Wynwood Walls is the first and only outdoor graffiti ‘museum’ and will launch 12 new murals, from Dave Choe, Audrey Kawasaki, Faith 47, Pixel Pancho, Risk, and others. Other events include Design Miami, Jeffrey Deitch and Larry Gagosian’s “Desire,” the Pusha T x adidas EQT launch with Ben Jones and so much more. Art Basel 2016 is something you don’t want to miss.
