A Bronze Statue Of Tupac Shakur Set To Be Unveiled This Year

The legacy of Tupac Shakur will live on thanks to his music and the range of artists that he has inspired. Today Tupac is back in the news as the word comes down today that a new bronze statue of Tupac will soon be unveiled. Back in 2016, the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia, unfortunately, shut down and the property was bought in December 2015.

A seven-foot bronze statue of the wordsmith was moved from the site, and now the new owner of the property plans to have a new bronze statue erected in 2017. Jim Burnett has commissioned Nijel Binns, an accomplished painter and portrait sculptor to lead the project. Have a look at the clay model which was recently revealed.
