The lyricist has officially released the visuals for his latest single, “Shots Fired,” featuring Millyz and Tony Sunshine, delivering a record that bridges generations of hip-hop while staying rooted in authentic street storytelling.
Rather than chasing trends, V. Ciannii leans into substance. His music reflects real-life experiences, sharp lyricism, and the consistency that has helped him steadily build a loyal fanbase. Those qualities are front and center on “Shots Fired.”
The track carries a layer of nostalgia. Inspired by a classic Tony Sunshine record, V. Ciannii enlisted producer Chris Gunna to recreate the beat through a fresh sample. Once the production came together, the vision was clear—Tony Sunshine had to be part of the record, and Millyz’s signature style made him the perfect addition to complete the collaboration.
The result is a track that feels both timeless and current, blending soulful production with confident bars from three artists who each bring their own distinct energy.
Born and raised in Rochester, V. Ciannii has been dedicated to music since the age of 11 after his older brother introduced him to recording in the family’s studio. That early passion eventually led to the creation of RMG Records, the independent label he co-founded alongside his two brothers to build something bigger than themselves.
His resume continues to grow with performances at Rolling Loud, Red Wings Stadium, and Blue Cross Arena, while his sold-out V. Ciannii n Friends concert showcased the strong support he’s earned in his hometown. More recently, his standout appearance on On The Radar introduced his lyrical ability to an even wider audience of hip-hop fans.
