2 Chainz talks first time at SXSW 2012

Rapper 2-chainz is appreciated across generations, the older folks may know him as one half of the “Duffle Bag Boy” rap group Playaz Circle while the younger crowd loves him for his Billboard smash “Birthday.”

2-Chainz earned much respect in the industry as “Tity boy,” but his career boomed after the 2012 release of his first solo album “Based on a T.R.U. Story,” and has remained steady ever since.

Chainz stopped by Sway’s SXSW takeover at the crux of his solo career and talked everything from stage performance to being in the studio with Kanye West.
