Is there anything better than seeing artists run through a set of your favorite songs live on stage with an incredible energy to match the fans surrounding you? Not many things come to mind that can top it musically. But, one thing that definitely makes the experience unforgettable is watching them open up the vault and share unreleased songs, maybe even performing them for the very first time ever.
Such was the case this past weekend in Dallas at JMBLYA as Vic Mensa gave us a live rendition of the “3am” track he revealed only days prior. This was just one of the tracks he treated fans to off his upcoming ‘Traffic’ album, which will undoubtedly be a great body of work. Here is a quick glimpse:
As if the excitement wasn’t already at its peak after performances from Mick Jenkins, G-Eazy and Vic Mensa feeling generous with the new music – Travi$ Scott took things to an entirely different level. Coming out the gates with “Quintana” he pretty much let us know where the night was headed…”a rage fest”. Things took a turn for the better and quickly as new material began blasting out of the speakers. What new material? The answer: “Antidote”. Many believed it would feature PartyNextDoor (who took over the same JMBLYA stage shortly after Travi$) but he cleared up the rumors via Twitter stating it is meant to be a solo, stand alone track. Either way, new La Flame is never a bad thing.
Check out “Antidote” below and let us know @SwaysUniverse what you think about the new drops. Are you excited about these two albums on the way?
