Survivor’s Remorse star Jessie T. Usher dropped by Sway In The Morning to talk about the upcoming season of the show and give his two cents about giving back and adjusting to fame.
Unlike his character, Cam Calloway, the actor did not jump into fame. His hometown family saw his rise to stardom from his childhood to now. Because of this, he doesn’t have survivor’s remorse and his neighborhood doesn’t press him about money or fame.
The 25-year-old explains how he and his team are sensitive about the roles they accept. He wants longevity in his career rather than quick money gigs. It seems to be paying off for him so far, as he is only largely known for respectful roles like Survivor’s Remorse, Almost Christmas, and the Independence Day sequel.
