The biggest boss Rick Ross (UGH!) has been dealing with and overcoming a few obstacles outside of music but has exploded back onto the scene releasing two brand new singles. Not stopping there, Ross also announced his next album ‘Black Dollar‘ would be dropping tomorrow – September 3rd. It appears Rozay Week is in full swing. MMMaybach Music.
For the first of three singles, he links back up with J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and 8 Bars speaking some hard truth in “Foreclosures”. It almost takes you back to the “Deeper Than Rap” version of Ross while still addressing recent experiences and solidifying his message as he raps “Spend it all, nothing for our children”. Have to applaud him for at least touching on the idea of generational growth and try to steer us away from “mine, mine, mine right now”.
In his follow up effort, Ross smooths things out in “Money Dance” with one of the most talented singer/songwriters of today in The Dream. You don’t get to boast about being the “biggest boss that you’ve seen thus far” and owning several franchises for not only yourself but family members without knowing how to make the dollars move for you. Listen below as the two do their money dance.
One of his strongest attributes and how Ross has stayed at the forefront of rap for so many years is his versatility. He puts that on full display ending the Rozay Week of single drops with “Turn Ya Back” featuring Gucci Mane, Meek Mill and Whole Slab. Check out the hard hitting drop below as he addresses those who turned their back when times got tough. Something everyone can relate to at one point or another.
