It was only 3 months ago when Garry Marshall stopped by Sway in the Morning to talk about producing Happy Days & The Odd Couple, filming with Taylor Swift, Redd Foxx’s influence, and meeting Satchel Paige. Unfortunately, at the age of 81, Mr. Marshall passed away yesterday (July 19) in Burbank, Calfornia due to complications from pneumonia following a stroke.
Garry is responsible for creating classic 1970s sitcoms like Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, The Odd Couple, and more, plus he directed both Pretty Woman and Princess Diaries which led to the success of both Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway.
