Peyton Manning, Broncos Beat Panthers 24-10 to Win Super Bowl 50

Peyton Manning has a long list of records held over the span of his NFL career but prior to Sunday’s game he hadn’t been as successful in Super Bowls as he’d like. Heading into the match-up against the Carolina Panthers, Peyton Manning was 1/3 in the big game and in the process becoming the first quarterback to take multiple teams to multiple super bowls. Behind the league’s smartest quarterback and number 1 defense, they had a task to knock off the streaking Carolina Panthers for a chance at Super Bowl greatness.

At first snap, the Denver defense seemed to be in control and it was ugly for Carolina on offense early. After Super Bowl MVP Von Miller sacked and stripped Newton for a touchdown, their entire mental state seemed to be shaken as inexperience surfaced. Eventually the Panthers would find the endzone thanks to a Jonathan Stewart dive play but the 4 turnovers including a late 4Q fumble would be just too much to overcome in the end.

You know the internet has no chill, and even though Cam was a favorite all year. These memes aren’t going anyway anytime soon. But neither are the Carolina Panthers, next year they are still the NFC favorite especially with the Seahawks star Marshawn Lynch leaning towards retirement.

Congrats to the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning.

Sidenote: the Super Bowl 50 performance with Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars was amazing. Plus, who knew Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant was a talented photographer.
