Chicago rapper Lil Durk is preparing to release his project “Lil Durk 2x.” Joining Sway in the Morning he opens up about his influence in Chicago and how it feels good to be inspiring people.
Mostly residing in LA now, Durk speaks on his day to day life in Cali and his recent trip to Hawaii. With the recent killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by police, Durk speaks on his new black lives matter tattoo and what the group means to him. While on the same subject Durk mentions trying to set up a protest in Chicago with Minister Louis Farrakhan.
Being able to let his guard down a bit while he lives in California we hear Durk speak on guns. He candidly opens up and explains that he’s gotten rid of his saying there’s no point to be carrying around a dirty weapon.
With “Lil Durk 2x” on the way he tells Sway that he didn’t have as many people in his ear while creating the project. Just having fun with it he reveals that his last project was trying to hard to get a point across.
As the video for “My Beyonce” featuring Durk’s girlfriend Dej Loaf circling the Internet, Durk speaks on their relationship. He jokes that he cooks the extent of making noodles and chips he has Heather B in stitches. He exclaims that she’s a boss and that’s what turned him onto her.
