Lebron James, Nick Young Respond to Kanye West’s “Facts (Nike Diss)”

“Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman.”

If nothing else, Kanye West will be remembered for speaking his mind and delivering unfiltered passion to us. That passion extended beyond the music realm as Yeezy took his talents to the fashion world years ago and it has been one of the most interesting progressions to watch. Mr. West has had past dealings with Nike through his infamous Yeezy release but ever since then he has been on a mission to crash through the glass ceilings he felt the company had set on him as well as fellow creatives. Adidas on the other hand welcomed the super creative talent with open arms allowing him the freedom he has fought for and displayed through several of their collective projects like the Yeezy Boost.

Now that Ye has found a good home over at Adidas, he took the opportunity to send a few shots at Nike in his brand new track “Facts“. Of course, Lebron James recently signed a lifetime (yes, a lifetime) contract with them so he couldn’t just sit by idle and let Ye disrespect the swoosh…right?

Lebron spoke about it briefly saying, “I haven’t really listened to it. I heard about it but I haven’t listened to it. Obviously I’m going to side with Nike no matter who it is. It’s just, it’s family when you talk about Nike, and I’m always on their side no matter what the situation is, so. We don’t look upon nobody on our side, we just try to put the best athletes that we can out on the floor every night.”

“Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves// Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away.”

Another fan of both Nike and Ye, Nick Young said he loved the song and credited his shoutout for why the Lakers have been winning lately.

Tell Adidas that we need a million in production/ I done told y’all, all I needed was the infrastructure/ Now we hottest in the streets, it ain’t no discussion/ James Harden, Swaggy P runnin’ up the budget
