Joell Ortiz releases "Latino Pt. 2" featuring Spanish Harlem's finest: Bodega Bamz + Emilio Rojas & Big Pun's son: Chris Rivers

By Maria-Karmina Landicho

Joell Ortiz and !llmind‘s upcoming project, Human, has just been freshly announced (releasing on July 17th); and already we have the first track lifted from it.

Joell brings in a few golden boys for his latest titled,  “Latino Pt. 2” — the features include our Spanish Harlem friend, Bodega Bamz. Then we have Emilio Rojas and Chris Rivers, to add to the Latin heat.

Fun Fact: Chris Rivers is also Bug Puns son. I’m happy to announce that the lyrical Apple, doesn’t fall far from the tree as he plays with his words almost as good as his Father, spitting some fire bars:

I write divine rhymes / I fill my time by feelin’ these dimes / Fill my satisfaction with valid rappin’ and magnum wrappin’ …”

Continuing on to pay homage to his legend of a Father:

You never see a ghost / That’s what me and my dad was told / So now I’m pickin’ up the torch while these label haggle my soul

And lo-in-behold, “Latino Pt. 2” has just dropped in time for the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York (today), this track has got to be the next anthem for Latino’s, as Joell Ortiz clearly states:

Latino, I’m that and I’m proud / If you don’t know us, let me tell you about / N*gg*s that slam their dominoes loud

So let these men tell you what it is to be a Latino, in their eyes. Turn it up for Joell Ortiz and !llmind’s “Latino Pt. 2” — featuring Bodega Bamz, Emilio Rojas and Chris Rivers, below:

And you already know that Sway’s Universe doesn’t just give you random tracks to listen to; we also educate you on why you need to pay attention to it; because these artists that come through here are all pioneers and trail blazers.

Thee Latino, Joell Ortiz, shows exactly why he is the main act in “Latino PT. 2” as he threw the most legit freestyle on Sway In The Morning, below:

Bodega Bamz did his thing on Sway In The Morning, having Sway laughing in awe:

This next one is in respects to Chinx. Back in 2014, they were just three rising rappers who threw down a freestyle and dropped impromptu bars for the morning show. Chinx went in hard over an east coast sound, while Andy and Emilio decide to go without no beat and give it to the fans straight. Watch this one from beginning to end to catch Chinx and Emilio Rojas:

Chris Rivers, on the other hand — completely crushed the mic on a boom-bap Velous beat, when he rolled through Sway In The Morning with his freestyle. Play it back, one time:
