It seems like over the past several years, one name has been at the forefront when it comes to non-stop laughter: Kevin Hart. But, just as much as Kevin is about giving people tears of joy cracking up from his standup comedy shows, tours and movies (Ride Along 2 hits theaters tomorrow) he is about his business.
“Everybody wanna be famous. Nobody wants to put in the work.” Those words he truly seems to live by as his entrepreneurial heart, business mindset and work ethic has taken the comedian into an entirely different level of success than anyone prior. Already doing the “impossible” selling out Lincoln Financial Field in his hometown of Philadelphia to entertain 53,000 people, he pushes things further becoming the first entertainer to get a signature shoe from Nike.
Hart is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon either. That constant motion extends beyond just the big screen being an advocate for wellness and constantly encouraging fans to run along side him with 5K morning jog open invites. Apparently, the biggest sports brand in the world took notice and rewarded the star with a cross trainer: Hustle Harts. Inspired by his children, the shoe will have two different colorways and although a release date hasn’t been set just yet it goes to show Kevin is truly running circles around his competition. Check them out below and let us know what you think!
Not only is he making noise in the sports world with his brand new shoe but he will be running Team USA during the NBA All Star Celebrity Game opposite Drake who will be coaching Team Canada on February 12 at 7pm EST. Earlier in the year, Hart won the Celebrity Game MVP after a hilarious on court battle with the young phenom Mo’ne Davis that forced him into “retirement”. Although he has been on an incredible winning streak, his counterpart from Toronto has been on a streak equally as impressive. Despite the game being strictly for fun, you know deep down that competitive spirit is going to fuel a lowkey want to WIN.
Both rosters are pretty nice and fellow Canadian Steve Nash will be assisting Drizzy on the bench. Take a look at who will be representing each team below and let us know who you’re taking:
Team Canada: actor Stephan James (Selma), Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, Drew and Jonathan Scott (HGTV’s “Property Brothers”), tennis player Milos Raonic, actor/singer Kris Wu, Tracy McGrady, Rick Fox and WNBA Star Natalie Achonwa.
Team USA: actor Jason Sudeikis, Michael B. Jordan, Anthony Anderson, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Nick Cannon, Chauncey Billups, Muggsy Bogues, Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry and WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne.
Should be a fun matchup to watch but before then be sure to check out Kevin Hart’s new film beside Ice Cube and Olivia Munn “Ride Along 2” in theaters January 15th.
