JetLife’s T.Y. and Rapper Young Roddy drop a new track “Shops Open” + a little more insight on T.Y.’s ties to the Rap Game

For all the Lifer’s out there, we all know that this has been a really good year for the team.

While Curren$y’s highly anticipated Canal Street Confidential album will be dropping on December 4th, he’s been on a promo tour for the past month sharing hits from the album with the fans.

Since he’s been working on tour, the rest of the camp has been in the studio gathering raps and gearing up for the official JetLife tour who’s dates have yet to be announced.

Here is a track laced by both T.Y. and Roddy titled “Shops Open”.

Take a listen:

On the second verse, T.Y. makes reference to his dad catching a charge and going away for a while. Now all the real HipHop heads would’ve caught on to the voice resemblance but in case you’re weren’t aware, he is none other than Hot Boyz Rapper BG’s son.

They always say history repeats its self and with vocal abilities similar to his father’s and the vibes of JetLife influencing his music, Rapper T.Y. is destined to be one of the hottest rappers of this new generation of HipHop.

Not only did Spitta recognize his talent and sign him, he is 1/5 of Juvenile’s Ghetto Children rap group which also includes Soulja Slim’s son, Lil Soulja Slim as well as Juvenile’s son, Young Juve.

T.Y. currently has both volume’s of his Son of A Gangsta mixtape series available on Datpiff and they can be downloaded here & here.

In the meantime once we have confirmation on the official tour dates, we’ll be sure to let you guys know.
