Well, it was only a matter of time, though it did not take much time at all. Today the word on the e-streets is that JAY-Z’s ‘4:44’ Album Has Officially Gone Platinum. His new project, 4:44 was released less than a week ago on June 30, and as of today, the LP is officially certified platinum according to RIAA.

RIAA Chairman and CEO Cary Sherman stated in a press release: “Props to JAY, he’s done it again! Another Platinum album adds to an already iconic career.” JAY-Z currently holds the record as an artist with the most platinum album plaques in RIAA history, while 4:44 serves as his thirteenth platinum album. He is also currently the only rapper to have 10 or more platinum albums. Interesting news or expected? Congrats to JAY-Z on another piece of platinum for the wall.
