According to new Apple® sales, it appears that Drake’s hotline isn’t the only one that’s “blinging”; lately, this is true for him and about 13 million other folks.
On September 28, 2015, Apple broke a new record selling more than 13 million new iPhone® 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models just three days after their release on September 25, 2015.
Mimicking the chaos of past Apple product release dates, lines of hopeful customers stretched miles around Apple and other popular tech stores like Best Buy — an impressive debut touted by Apple’s CEO Tim Cook.
“Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” said Cook, in a September 2015 Apple press release. “Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.”
Customers’ user experience with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models will differ drastically from that of the original, barely one year old iPhone 6, according to Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide marketing Philip Schiller.
“The only thing that has changed with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is everything — 3D Touch lets users interact with iPhone in entirely new and fun ways, and the innovative Live Photos brings your pictures to life,” Schiller said in a September 2015 Apple press release.
The new iPhone models also include 7000 series aluminum, ion-strengthened glass, the new 64-bit A9 chip, 12-megapixel iSight and 5-megapixel FaceTime HD cameras, faster Touch ID, LTE and Wi-Fi. Also exciting is the new iOS 9 software that comes with the phone and will soon be available to iPhone users with older models. iOS 9 updates include improved Siri features and redesigned apps that require less space to install and advanced security features.
“Customers are going to love them,” said Schiller.
According to this guy, Schiller was right.

While there has been no official news on whether there will be an iPhone 7 it’s safe to say that both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be on back order for a few weeks! And if the rollout goes as planned later this month, you can find Apple’s latest iCommodity in your local area — unlike Drake, you won’t even have to leave the city…
