Hoda Kotb is an amazing broadcast journalist, host, and author, but more than that she’s an incredible woman. We recently had the pleasure of having her through the Sway in the Morning studios to speak on her new book “Where We Belong: Journey’s That Show Us The Way.”
Telling people’s stories and the tough choices they’ve made to get themselves to where they are today, Kotb outlines the life of Laila Ali and many more as the commends their acts of courage.
But before we could let Hoda go we had to ask her about some of her life’s toughest choices and moments that she will always remember. Taking a minute to think, Kotb begins to tell us a touching story which takes place on a plane home from shooing Where In The World Is Matt Lauer in Ireland. After just having a mastectomy and finding out her husband at the time was being unfaithful, Kotb is placed next to a stranger on the plane. From asking her question after question to giving her advice of a lifetime, this stranger has shaped the way Kotb goes about living her life.
