Friday Fire Cypher: The Philharmonik and Travis Thompson Spit Over Niko Brim Beats Who Is The First Producer To Rap In A Cypher

This edition of the Friday Fire Cypher invites Niko Brim of CYN back as the producer this time around. Pairing his beats with the rhymes of Seattle’s Travis Thompson and Sacramento’s The Philharmonik, two dope emcees of Native American descent. Niko proves that he has an undeniable talent with music. He spoke with the Sway In The Morning team about overcoming the pressures of his musical lineage and where he sees his journey going.

Travis Thompson has been bubbling for a little bit out of Seattle, WA. He has been working and on tour with Macklemore and made a special guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. His video for ‘Father Forgive Me‘ has racked up over 4 million views, when you do those types of numbers there has to be some sort of spark there. And Thompson stopped by the cypher to show why.

Hailing from another market, Sacramento, CA, that is really making a name for itself in the hip-hop game right now, The Philharmonik came to drop off some bars. His soulful style and very real stories left Sway In The Morning listeners in tears.

By the time round 2 came around the cypher was so hot, that Niko Brim decided to put on his emcee hat to make him the first producer to lyrically hop in the cypher. Brim kicked it off and was quickly followed up by Thompson and The Philharmonik. All of these dudes proved that they are not only true lyricists but well-rounded artists who will all be something to look out for in the very near future.
