The Queens native Daymond John that many know as the brilliant mind behind building FUBU into a billion dollar company is much more than that, his expertise in branding has allowed him to add value to a very diverse list of companies. That list includes the razor giant Gillette, who he has recently partnered with for their extremely convenient Shave Club. It is impressive to see how many different areas he can be effective in and it is on full display during the ABC hit show Shark Tank.
While he admits to being on road about 280 days out of the year, he still managed to swing by Caroline‘s to hang out with the Sway in the Morning team and leave everyone with gems throughout the interview. While he credits failure for a lot of his learning and success, he also puts the same if not more value on the role of his mentors. The live audience was able to experience that firsthand allowing entrepreneurs to get branding and business building advice on the spot. Guess the trend continues as the last time Daymond sat down with Sway it was to receive the Hennessy Award for his role in Philanthropy and Mentoring.
