Not many can conquer a classic Reasonable Doubt instrumental AND have the attention of another legend in Nas as a member of his imprint Mass Appeal Records in the same moment. But, Fashawn isn’t exactly your average emcee either so while it’s well known just how talented the Grizzly City product is, this outing was still very impressive.
The “100 Bars” title hints at a quick lyrical exercise but we were in for a pleasant surprise as he goes in full on, leaving us with a few clever quotables from start to finish. Continuing the success from his latest ‘Ecology‘ project should be no problem with follow up efforts like this. His label name represents exactly what he is stepping out and doing keeping that authentic hip hop feel alive while still appealing to the masses, that balance will be on display as he kicks off the European Leg of his already successful Ecology Tour.
Enjoy the steady onslaught of “100 bars” below and re-visit his last trip to Sway in the Morning afterwards.
