Born in Egypt and raised on the streets of Watts, California, battle rapper Daylyt has been through a lot. Seeing nearly all his his High School class die throughout the years he talks about the struggle of staying safe in his neighborhood. Never really participating in gang violence, Daylyt does speak on the side he claimed. Although he was on the opposite side as Jay Rock he says the two grew up as best friends. Going forward about claiming a side he talks about brining rivals together to be extras in the Joseph Kahn-directed movie “Bodied.” But before they could film both men had to leave after a shooting took place only blocks away.
Getting into his unusual antics like pretending to poop on stage during a battle, Daylyt says that all his moves are calculated and have helped his popularity as an artist. He also tells the story of the time he exposed himself to a group of females after a battle.
With his new album “Words” coming out soon the Watts emcee talks about how he got a verse from Eminem. Joking about randomly being sent the verse and never hearing anything else from the Shade 45 boss he says he’s just glad he received the gift. Talking about other industry friends he speaks on his relationship with both Joe Budden and Drake as he boldly states that he will get in the middle of any rap beef going forward.
During the rest of his time Daylyt continues to hold nothing back as he tells all to Sway and Tracy G. From thinking that Future took a shot at him on “Big Rings” to transitioning into URL battles he stays honest and is not afraid to answer any question thrown his way.
