As part of the original big three, Chris Bosh made his mark on the NBA and the city of Miami. Today the word from the wide world of sports is that Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat have officially parted ways. The Heat have officially waived Bosh on Tuesday and retired his jersey as well. The 11-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist had an impressive career, starting with the Toronto Raptors before taking his talents to South Beach.

Throughout his career, he averaged 19.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Pat Riley released a statement that said: “He changed our lives for the better, in a way we never would have imagined, when he joined the Miami Heat. We will forever be indebted to CB for how he changed this team and led us to four trips to the NBA Finals and two NBA Championships. He is, without a doubt, one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise. The number “1″ will never be worn by another player and we can’t wait to someday hang his jersey in the rafters.” Speak your thoughts on the news and stay tuned for more from the sports world coming soon.
