Anderson Cooper has reported on some of the world’s biggest news stories over the years from Haiti to Somalia, Rwanda and Egypt. Keeping things calm and collected through it all he enters the Sway in the Morning studios and tells of the time he was attacked in Egypt. Catching it all on tape he reveals he yelled the incorrect thing in Arabic while trying to escape.
From outside the country to right here in his backyard Cooper speaks on his recent interviews with Donald Trump. Although he is known for flip flopping on his views, Cooper commends him for being the most available politician in the race. Taking a call from a listener who inquired about Cooper’s latest Town Hall with Trump he elaborates on calling his actions those of a 5 year old while defending himself against tweeting photos of Ted Cruz’s wife.
Born into the predominant Vanderbilt family, Cooper speaks on sticking with the Cooper name instead. With his new book “The Rainbow Comes and Goes: A Mother and Son On Life, Love, and Loss” which he co-wrote with his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, Cooper opens up about his relationship with his mom and even reveals some telling secrets.
Right before the conclusion of the interview Sway and Cooper were blessed by the presence of Andy Cohen. With Cooper and Cohen on tour together he reveals that a friend tried to set them up on a date once which never happened after a brief phone call.
