If you love Sam Smith, you’ll love him even more after hearing this. If you don’t even know who he is? Here you go. And you’re welcome.
A$AP Rocky jumps on a remix with Sam Smith for his song “I’m Not The Only One”, and it’s phenomenal.
If you know either of them, you know that this is out of their comfort zone. But A$AP hopped on so naturally flowing to the slow-to-mid-tempo track with the verse:
“A new disease in my town called ‘Idiotic’ / Every pretty lady in my city got it / Point blank / Periodically / Dine in Cipriani’s like Beyonce / To getting by or to “Get Embodied” / So Sasha Fierce / A whole lot of tears …Pray that today is not a lonely one / You got to know you’re not the only one.”
Sam Smith on the other hand continues to pull heart strings with his high vocal range singing:
“But when you call me ‘Baby’ / I know I’m not the only one.”
What’s interesting about this Harlem Rapper collab. with this small town UK born extravagance-of-a-singer (if that’s not enough of a mind twist for you) — is that they both manage to stay in their lanes without singing or rapping over one another’s verse. This entire remix is a huge breadth of fresh air on both parties. It prevails truth on two ends of a relationship and is a complete tear jerker for your ears.
This creative track will definitely get a thug to bump it in the car, with the windows rolled down. Reinvention, at its finest.
Cop the track on iTunes at midnight tonight and you’ll be winning.
