Each year about this time, NFL officials and its 32 owners come together to discuss the future of the league. This includes rule changes, relocations and much more. Fresh off the heels of word that the Oakland Raiders will be heading to Las Vegas, today we get a look at a few rule changes that the NFL will be putting into play this coming season.
One of the biggest changes making the cut is banning players from leaping over the line of scrimmage to block field goals or extra points. The reason behind the ban is the possibility of players being seriously injured during the play. Other rule changes for the upcoming season includes centralized replays where officials at the league office in New York have final say, as well as ejecting players after they commit two of a certain type of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Interesting news to say the least. Speak your thoughts on the new rules in the comments and stay tuned for much more from the NFL coming soon!
