Rap music wouldn’t be where it is now without the influence of artists like 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. Always out pushing a new sounds with an incredible following, these two superstars recently collided for a very special project titled “ColleGrove.”

Joining the Sway in the Morning studios to speak on connecting with one of his idols, 2 Chainz passion and excitement shines through during this hour long sit-down. Hitting the studio with Wayne for most of the project, 2 Chainz recalls one moment that stands out from the rest. While recording “Bounce,” the ATL emcee tells Sway and the crew that himself and Wayne went back and forth and then back and forth again in friendly competition.

With production from Mike Will Made It and Zaytoven on “MFN Right,” 2 Chainz speaks on hitting the booth to freestyle his verses. Opening up about the Mannie Fresh produced “Gotta Lotta,” 2 Chainz reveals that the small scatting sounds required sample clearance.

Finding motivation in watching younger artists, 2 Chainz makes it clear that he will always stay true to himself no matter what. Walking the line between cockiness and confidence, 2 Chainz has a whole lot to be proud of as of late.

While speaking on his forthcoming album “B.C.” we hear 2 Chainz speak praises about Jay-Z as he reveals he would be honored to have a verse from him on the album. Calling it personal and nostalgic, 2 Chainz is hoping to even make the club records contain a personal twist. You can expect a release around September.

Ending his time with Sway and the crew with an exclusive off the top freestyle, 2 Chainz pays homage to Bankroll Fresh who lost his life this past weekend in Atlanta.
